M. David Ruff

M. David Ruff is a Principal Consultant to the Assembly Committee on Revenue and Taxation.  David was previously an attorney in the Sacramento office of McDonough Holland & Allen PC and, before that, a Special Deputy District Attorney in Marin County.

David is active in California Democratic politics. In 2002, David served as the Campaign Manager for the Marin County Democratic Coordinated Campaign. He has interned in the offices of Senator Barbara Boxer and Representative Nancy Pelosi. While in law school, David also clerked for the Assembly Judiciary Committee.

David earned his law degree in 2002 from the University of California's Boalt Hall School of Law. He received his undergraduate degree in political science, summa cum laude, from U.C. Davis in 1999.
