Isadore Hall Holds Fundraising Lead over Hahn, Richardson in Congressional Race

Campaign finance reports released over the weekend brought a surprise to one of the most competitive races for a Democratic seat in Congress: Assemblyman Isadore Hall holds a significant advantage over two sitting members of Congress in the money race.

Isadore Hall’s newly formed exploratory Congressional committee reported $158,450 in contributions, besting the 2012 campaign committees of two members of Congress by over $22,000 and $86,000 respectively for the quarter, according to a press release from Hall's campaign strategist Josh Pulliam.

“The 44th Congressional seat may be a newly created district, but residents here continue to be frustrated with the same old song and dance from Washington,” said Assemblymember Isadore Hall. “The outpouring of support from community leaders, small business owners, and local residents from throughout the district is energizing our campaign to new heights.”

According to campaign finance reports, Hall also holds the lead in cash on hand, with zero debt to his committee. On the other hand, both of his Congressional opponents are saddled with huge campaign debt with one of his opponents reporting $172,000 of debt and another opponent reporting over $450,000 of debt from past campaigns.
