Ted Costa Blasts Oil Companies, Now Opposes AB 32 Initiative

March 10, 2010 @ 3:16 PM

In a major blow to the two Texas oil companies funding a suspension of AB 32 initiative, one of the co-authors of measure now says he will vote against it.

Ted Costa of the People's Advocate, told the Sacramento Bee, that the campaign had been "'stolen' by big-money interests."

"At a time when Californians really need honesty and integrity, there will be none," Costa said of the initiative.

Costa's turn-around is a major blow for the initiative's sponsors, who still have not revealed who is funding their campaign.
