Hillary Rides An Early Wave

January 31, 2007 @ 7:50 AM
Steven Maviglio A new Rasmussen poll out today shows Senator Hillary Clinton building on her lead as the frontrunner in the 2008 presidential primary after her Iowa town hall won kudos from the pundits.

Likely Democratic primary voters.
           1/22-25 1/15-18 1/8-11
Clinton     33      31     22
Obama     19      24     21
Edwards   10      12     15

Margin of error: 5%

This is a national poll. Clinton is in a horserace in the New Hampshire and Iowa polls, and you can expect these numbers to change dramatically for this marathon of a race.

I still haven't seen a California voters only poll out there. As sound as we get wind of one, we'll post it here.

With nearly universal name ID, the most successful president in recent memory as her husband and a field of nascent opponents, one-third in the polling may be a phyrric result.
